Rigarus Construction is committed to providing a safe work environment. To ensure this, we have established, and continue to maintain, a Procedures Manual on Health and Safety. This manual is aimed at protecting employees, sub-contractors, property and equipment from harm, damage and/or loss. Working safely is a condition of employment at Rigarus Construction.
Everyone in the company, as well as sub-contractors, must be dedicated to the objective of reducing risk and injury, and the elimination or control of all foreseeable hazards that could cause injury, security issues, damage to property, and personal harm through injury or occupational illness.
All managers, supervisors and workers are accountable for their personal health and safety. All employees are responsible to ensure that all tools and machinery are safe, and that they operate in agreement with legal requirements and established safe work practices and procedures.
Employees must receive adequate training in their specific work tasks to protect their health and safety.
Every employee is accountable for protecting his/her own health and safety and that of their fellow employees, by working in compliance with the law and with safe work practices and procedures established by Rigarus Construction Inc.
All employees are responsible for reporting unsafe equipment and machinery conditions to their supervisor, and recognizing that such equipment not be used until repaired or replaced.
Where applicable, a Joint Health and Safety Committee will be formed, consisting of employees and management representatives. The role of each committee member will be to actively make recommendations to improve health & safety and working conditions at Rigarus Construction. The Committee will meet as required, maintain minutes of all meetings and actively participate in accident and incident investigations.
This policy will be continually reviewed and revised.
